The Liebster Award

I only started this blog in September and it's safe to say I'm quite overwhelmed with the support and positivity people have given me so far. Thank you to all of my followers. It baffles me that you enjoy taking the time to read my babbles, but I'm really enjoying this blogging malarkey so I shall continue!

So this week I've been nominated not once but three(!!!) times for The Liebster award. The Liebster award is a pretty cool concept, it's basically a way of bloggers promoting each others blogs, and getting to know each other a bit more. A bit like social networking for bloggers I guess. I'm up for it!

First things first, here are 11 facts about myself:

1. I'm half Kiwi and half British
2. I was vegetarian for 15 years until last year. I now love steak!

3. I studied at King's College London

4. I'm so emotional...On average I probably cry about 3 times a week!!

5. I've never broken a bone. Touch wood!

6. I inter-railed around Europe in my GAP year

7. I live in Greenwich, London with my lovely boyfriend, Rob. We've been together 2 and a half years after meeting online!

8. I thought I'd like coffee by now but I still hate it... 

9. I passed my driving test third time when I was 18

10. The first concert I went to was to see Justin Timberlake (with Dizzee Rascal supporting!!) in 2003

11.  Gin & tonic please, with ice and lime!

What's your biggest dream in life? 

It sounds so cliche but I guess I just want to be happy! We're currently on the search to find and buy our first home, so that's a big goal of mine at the moment. I'm forever day dreaming about finally being able to put our stamp on our very own home.

 Who is your secret celebrity crush and why?
Definitely Brian Cox... He's so geeky, but there's something dreamy about him! I'd love to lay under the stars with him and talk about... stars.

What is the weirdest fact you have about yourself?

I'm really scared of cows!!

What made you start blogging?

Like I said above, we're on the hunt to find our first home. It's such a slow and draining process and I figured there must be so many others in our situation, so I wanted to put my thoughts down for others to read and relate to. I haven't blogged all that much about the house hunt because so far it's been uneventful, so I've been blogging about random other things instead but I love it!

What style of blogs interest you the most?

Lifestyle blogs, home interior blogs, and basically blogs where people speak truth of their lives.

If you could go on the ultimate dream holiday where would you go?

I'd go to Iceland to swim in the Blue Lagoon and see the Northern Lights.

Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter?

Aaaaghhh this is so difficult, I love all seasons for so many different reasons! I think I'd have to choose Winter though, I love layering and wrapping up all cosy, hot chocolates in starbucks red cups, walks in the snow and Christmas!!!!

Would you swap places with anyone for a day?

I don't think I would... because what if I discovered that it really sucks being me?!!

What is your best memory?

This is a pretty big question...!! One of my best memories is snowboarding down Mount Ruapehu in New Zealand.

What animal are you most like?

Errrm... a rabbit! I'm a big softie and love to snuggle, but I get pretty scared quite easily... I'm a rabbit in headlights!
How would you describe your fashion sense?

I think I dress pretty sensibly, which sounds quite boring really doesn't it! I do like buying things on trend but I always stick to what I know really suits me, I'll never wear something just because 'it's in'.

What was the last film you went to see at the cinema?

Gone girl. So good!

What one quality/achievement are you most proud of?

I abseiled down the side of my hospital last year to raise money for our ward!

What's your favourite hobby?

Baking always cheers me up.

Where's the best place you've visited?

Ooooh this is a tricky one. New Zealand is incredible, and because I have so much family there it's almost like a second home. It's staggeringly beautiful. I loved New York though... and Hong Kong!

What's your most prized posession?

Erm... my wallet?!

What's your favourite food?

Fruit fruit fruit fruit fruit. All the fruits!

If you could do any career, what would you do?

Hmmm... I'm not sure! I couldn't sit at a desk all day long that's for sure. Maybe an air hostess, for the travel!?!

If you could have any super power, what would you pick?

Invisibility.

What inspired you to start blogging?

Other bloggers!

So many places. Canada, Iceland, Santorini, China, Croatia...

Comfy. Hands down.

Hmmm. Of all time? It's probably got to be Coldplay "A Rush of Blood to the Head"

I've answered this already... I love fruit! But I also love bannoffee pie!

I read little snippets of the bible each day. My faith is important to me.

Aggghhh another difficult question!! It'd have to be a classic like... Love Actually
