Things that have made me happy this week...
Fresh flowers!
Beautiful pink roses and gypsophilia - I love having little flower displays around the flat, brightening things up.
Saying hello to Autumn
It's officially Autumn!! This past week it has felt quite chilly in the mornings but the sunshine has stayed around, so we've enjoyed some lovely wanders through Greenwich park, kicking the leaves and collecting conkers. I felt like a kid again! I love pretty much everything about this time of year - the wardrobe changes, the colours, the excuse for endless hot chocolates and pumpkin carving (which I'm sure will come in a later post!).

New pyjamas!
There are few things I like more than a new pair of pyjamas! I love tartan pyjamas and adore the colours of these. I don't tend to spend a lot on pyjamas as I literally own so many pairs - and they're just for lounging around in anyway so as long as they're comfortable I'm happy! I got these in Tesco for £8.
One week left until it's holiday time!!
Woohooooooooo!! You can't beat that holiday countdown! Next Friday Rob and I are driving up to Scotland to stay with his cousin's family for the weekend just outside of Edinburgh. They have two little boys who are so much fun and we always have a real laugh when we're all together. I'm sure there will be a competitive game of monopoly in store(!) and we're hoping to see the Kelpies which I've wanted to see for a while. Then we're heading to Loch Lomond to stay in a lovely hotel overlooking the Loch. I'm so looking forward to escaping for a few days somewhere rural and beautiful, drinking wine with every meal and going on scenic walks! Then we're off to Edinburgh for a city break before coming home and I've booked us another nice hotel. We haven't been away since July so it'll be a much deserved break - I'm sure there will be a blog post to follow!

The yummiest treacle tart I've ever tasted
We walked up to Blackheath yesterday through Greenwich Park and went for lunch in Pizza Express. On our way home we discovered Hand Made Food in Blackheath - a gorgeous cafe selling delicious, homemade, seasonal food to eat in or takeaway. I picked up a slice of treacle tart while Rob chose one of their huge scrumptious looking sausage rolls. I waited until I got home and enjoyed my slice of treacle tart with a cuppa tea. Oh. My. Word. It was the bessssssst treacle tart ever, so rich and zesty! I'll definitely be going back for more!
What's made you happy this week?
Wishing you the happiest of weekends!
Lydia xxx
