Yep, it's that time of year again... No Halloween would be complete without a pumpkin carving session! I'll be the first to admit I'm a big kid at heart when it comes to this kind of stuff, I love going all out and getting creative. I missed out last year as I was working, so this year I was extra excited to pop on some music and carve our pumpkins ready for Halloween tomorrow. We live in a big block of flats, so we never get trick-or-treaters knocking at the door but the pumpkins look great in the windows none the less.
We've been pretty inventive with our pumpkin designs in previous years... here's what we created in 2012!
This year I decided to go for a Batman design, whilst Rob chose a creepy looking skull. I was tempted to give in to commercialism and pick up a pumpkin carving set, but they were ridiculously overpriced in Waitrose, so we stuck with good old kitchen knives instead!
Mmmm, that sweet pumpkiny smell... I love it! It's one of those sweet smells of October! I'm not sure I love getting my hands all sticky whilst scooping out the pumpkin guts though... yuck!
And here they are... candles lit, looking spooky...!
Have you carved any pumpkins? I'd love to see!
