Beauty: More Skincare Favourites

It's been a little while since I blogged some of my recent skincare favourites so I thought I'd share what my skin has been loving recently...

La Roche Posay
"Efflaclar H Multi-compensating Soothing Moisturiser"
As I've mentioned before in my previous skincare post, finding the perfect moisturiser is always a difficult task for me. My skin is naturally incredibly oily {and not to mention acne prone} and I seem to find it difficult to find a good balance between not applying moisturiser at all in fear of over-greasing my skin, and lathering my skin in moisturiser in fear of it not getting enough moisture/hydration. Most moisturisers leave my skin feeling totally yucky and even more oily than it is naturally! I've been using this Effaclar H moisturiser from La Roche Posay for the past month now and I've got to say I really like it. It's designed for skin which is naturally very oily but has been 'weakeaned by drying skin care products'. I've been using some antibiotic gel recently as a means of clearing up my acne, which is quite drying, so I've found that using this in conjunction with that has worked wonders.
It leaves a bit of a sheen on my skin immediately after applying but after a bit of fresh air the greasiness disappears. My skin looks and feels really fresh. It's a little pricey but as with all La Roche Posay products you really do get what you pay for, and this stuff does exactly what it says on the packaging.

Vichy Laboratoires
"Normaderm Micellar Solution"

I love Vichy products, they're another highly reputable French brand - the French seem to win at cosmetics and beauty products don't they?! In my previous skincare post I raved about L'oreal's micellar water but I've been using this one more recently and I think I prefer it. The Normaderm range is Vichy's range for blemish or acne prone skin and all the products in this range are really gentle on the skin. I've been using it morning and evening and I love how cool & refreshing it leaves my face feeling. It's enriched with zinc and thermal spa water which I'm guessing is good! ;)
But in all seriousness if you're looking for a gentle, soothing product to apply after taking off your makeup, then I'd really recommend it. Your skin will feel super clean and detoxed!

Burt's Bees

"Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub"
I'm a lover of all Burt's Bees products, especially their lip balms which are true God-sends and I always carry a couple in my bag, without fail. So when I saw this facial scrub I thought I'd give it a whirl. I love it! Because of my acne, my pores tend to block really easily and often feel clogged up & gross. This scrub has exfoliating beads which helps to make sure you've cleaned every little inch of skin, in particular the clogged pores. It smells deliciously peachy and leaves my face feeling as smooth as a baby! Definitely a winner.

What have you been using on your skin recently? Any recommendations?
