This week's happiness

Things that have made me happy this week...

Spring-scented candles
I got these cute miniature Yankee candles in my Christmas stocking from Rob - he'd bought them in bulk online, I think there were about 20 in total{!!} so as I reached into my stocking I found more and more and more of them! I love them and it's nice to have some alternative smaller sized candles to tealights {I do love tealights though, never under-estimate IKEA tealights!!}. Now the Spring and Summer months are arriving it's nice to have some more refreshing floral, fruity scents going on... I'm fed up of Wintery scents like cranberry and cinnamon now. The Bahama Breeze yankee smells so good!

Pretty pink tulips
Believe it or not these were actually a bunch of Mother's Day tulips but I bought them for myself... I'm not a mother but I thought I deserved them anyway haha! This past week the flat has been full of gorgeous pink tulips prettying up the place, getting more and more beautiful as they've opened up.

Cashew butter
If you read my recent Peanut butter squares recipe then you'll know that I have a lot of love for peanut butter but this week I've been munching on cashew butter instead which has been a nice alternative. It's made from 100% roasted cashew nuts which have just been ground down into a thick, smooth paste... I'm probably making it sound like one of those weirdo health foods but trust me it's really yummy! I've been munching it with sliced apple, mmm.

Balcony love
This afternoon I've enjoyed sitting on my balcony for the first time this year!! I'm truly loving the weather being a little warmer, it's making me so excited for the Summer months ahead and the plans we have. I've been doing a bit of naughty online shopping today on my laptop whilst sitting in the sunshine, what could be better?! Just look at that bright blue sky...

I can't even begin to put into words how exhausted I feel today... sad face. My shift pattern has been crazy and has left me feeling so drained but I've still got a little way to go before I can enjoy some proper time off so I apologise if I've been rubbish on the blogging front this past week. It can be really difficult juggling a full time career + part time university studying + blogging + being a human being all at once, sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day but I can only do my best. I hope you can forgive me!
Today is my only day off this week so I've been savouring every moment. Like I said above, I've been sunning myself {who am I kidding... it's not even that warm! I love how us Brits get over excited about the tiniest bit of sunshine haha} on my balcony, treating myself to a bit of online retail therapy and reading my favourite blogs. I'm going to go to the gym in a little bit as I desperately need to start toning up! After that I'm going to be really boring and have a healthy dinner followed by an early night as I've got another full weekend of work. I've no doubt your plans are much more exciting than mine!

Back to regular blogging as soon as life allows :)
