This week's happiness

Things that have made me happy this week...

Daffofils
I've arrived a bit late to the daffodil party this year, I only got round to picking up my first bunch this week! They've been cheering up the kitchen with their bright, gorgeous yellowness. Spring has finally arrived!

A girly day out with my two favourite ladies
On Saturday, my sister and I treated my mum to a surprise day out in Bath for her birthday. I met Mum in the morning at London Paddington - she had been instructed to bring only herself and her bikini in her handbag! To her total surprise I whisked her off on the train to the West Country, her reaction when I told her we were off to Bath was priceless! We drank wine out of plastic cups on the train, giggling the whole journey and the weather was amazing all day. We had pizzas in the sunshine in a lovely Italian restaurant overlooking the River Avon and wandered the beautiful city streets before enjoying the most incredible afternoon at Thermae Bath Spa. I'd been wanting to go there forever! We spent ages relaxing in the steam pods and spa pools and we treated Mum to a full body massage. It was the most special, fun-filled day I've had in so long and it was a truly lovely reminder of how lucky I am to have a wonderful Mum and an equally wonderful sister. So much love <3

 Yet another bubble bath...
Bubble baths probably feature in most of these Friday posts, apologies! A long, hot bath never fails to make me feel ten times happier, especially a Neal's Yard bubble bath.

I've been on night shifts for what feels like all of this week... so there's not much to update you with I'm afraid. When I'm working nights my life literally consists of work, sleep and food in a constant {slightly depressing!} cycle. I'm off work today though and we're off house hunting. Our search for a home has finally begun once again! It's a painful process but I must remind myself to keep positive and enjoy the experience, after all what's meant to be is meant to be!
My entire weekend will then be spent at work, which makes me feel a little bit sorry for myself. I'll be needing one of my favourite motivational quotes to keep me going:

"Work is a blessing. God has so arranged the world that work is necessary, and He gives us hands and strength to do it. The enjoyment of leisure would be nothing if we had only leisure. It is the joy of work well done that enables us to enjoy rest, just as it is the experiences of hunger and thirst that make food and drink such pleasures"

- Elisabeth Elliot

Enjoy your weekend!
