This week's happiness

Things that have made me happy this week...

Sunshine
Could it be, that Spring is finally arriving?! We've had some really lovely sunshine this past week with brilliant blue skies. It always amazes me how uplifted I feel when the sun's out. I've managed to get out for a couple of runs this week which has made me feel so much happier in myself and the sunshine kept me going each step of the way! I also spied hundreds upon hundreds of daffodils beginning to sprout in Greenwich Park... It won't be long until the park is cheerfully yellow and full of Spring!

Once the musical
As a belated Valentine's treat I took Rob to see Once The Musical on Monday night. I always love a night out in the West End and it was a nice excuse to get a bit dressed up. The musical was brilliant, I think it's only on until March 31st this year but if you have time to see it before it ends then I'd thoroughly recommend it. During the interval the stage was turned into a bar which was really cool I thought. I was embarrassingly starstruck watching Ronan Keating on stage, his voice is amazing and took me right back to my teenage years! Rob didn't share in my excitement over Ronan but he enjoyed the musical all the same.

A double dose of wagamamas
We've had two, yep two, wagamama lunches this week! I don't know if that should make me feel proud or slightly ashamed, haha?! I truly love wagamamas though, it's a Yasai Pad Thai for me please, mmmm. Also have you seen their amazing fresh juice menu?!!

I'm currently in the middle of my annual leave {despite being at work for the past two days, what am I like?!} so it's been a week full to the brim of happiness. Weeks off are the best. It's always a bit of a novelty having a fairly normal sleeping pattern for a week and being able to fill my days doing what I like instead of cramming in a few hours of forced sleep here and there. I could quite happily not work at all... but that would be very unrealistic wouldn't it! We had a brilliant night out on Valentine's Day with some friends playing crazy golf in Shoreditch and then on Sunday we had a long walk through the park, followed by one of Rob's incredible roast lamb dinners. He cooks the best roast! It was such a lovely Valentine's weekend. And now it's somehow Friday already?! Have you got that Friday feeling? I'm off to see my best girl Georgie today in Chiswick for a dog walk at Chiswick House & Gardens, I love it there. We'll probably have some lunch somewhere too. This evening I'm off to my second baking lesson at Bread Ahead {if you have read my recent Italian Breadmaking post then you will understand my excitement!}. I can't wait! This time I'm doing a 'Quintessentially English' class, I'll make sure to blog about it soon. After my baking lesson I'm heading home to my parents' house in Hertfordshire!! It's my lovely Mumma's birthday this weekend, so we're all going back to celebrate with her. I think we're going to cook her lunch tomorrow. I haven't been home properly since Christmas I think?! But I don't think it matters how old I get, waking up in my old bedroom will always leave me feeling nostalgic and home comforts will always be the very best!
What are your plans? I'd love to hear from you.
