Things that have made me happy this week...
A celebratory lunch!
I love Wahaca, so after I was given a surprise university result yesterday, Rob took me out for a celebratory Wahaca lunch. I wasn't expecting a 2:1 in my recent assignment... it was a difficult module but my hard work obviously paid off. Such a relief and one step closer to earning my degree! Blood orange margaritas, tacos and enchiladas were the best way to celebrate...
Collapsing onto the sofa in my PJs after the longest days at work
No explanation needed. Best feeling ever.
Tulips
They've come early this year... I can't remember the last time I saw tulips being sold in January?! I'm not complaining though! It's so nice to have some Spring cheer in the flat. Look at these beauties!
I've said it once and I'm about to say it again: how on earth has it reached Friday already? And someone please tell me where the first 6 days of February went?! It's crazy to think that the first month of 2015 has already passed, time seems to be whizzing by at the moment, sometimes I wish things would slow down a little! That said, my annual leave can't come quick enough. I've got just one week left at work until I can have a bit of a break and boyyyy do I need it. I've cried about 3 times this week due to tiredness!!!
I'm off work today, I've got a few things to get done at home including some dreaded uni work but otherwise I'm relaxing and making the most of some down time. I shall not feel guilty for lazing on the sofa, I repeat... I shall not feel guilty for lazing on the sofa! Maybe I'll do some baking, I haven't baked properly for a while and I keep promising Rob that I'll bake him a cheesecake but never get round to it. After our lunch in Wahaca I had a little shopping spree yesterday, so I need to hide my debit card and curb the spending for a few days I think... although I do need a hair cut so maybe I'll get that done! This evening we're seeing Rob's Mum and then tomorrow I'm going to have a ruthless wardrobe clear-out which always feels like such a chore and my bedroom turns into a bomb-site during the process (please tell me I'm not the only one?!) but it feels good afterwards. I need want to make some space for some new cheerful, Spring clothes!
Then it's back to work on Sunday and back to uni on Monday...
Wishing you all the happiest weekend!
