It feels like forever since I have done one of my beloved Friday posts! So here is what's brought me happiness this week...
Guilt free fro-yo
Oh my word. This stuff is incredible!! Guilt free, dairy free, raspberry and coconut fro-yo made with frozen coconut milk. Amazing! I try to steer clear of eating too much dairy in my diet as it doesn't seem to agree with my tummy, or my skin, so this is a perfect alternative to ice cream. I've enjoyed some this evening with fresh blueberries and raspberries, so good!
Back to running...
After a couple of months of resting my legs {I've had some trouble with my right leg recently} I have finally started running again and I've got to say I feel really liberated for it! I never thought I'd be one of those people who finds enjoyment in running but here I am, one of those people! These have been my first runs since living in out in East London with Rob and his Mum, so it's been fun finding new routes and I've been pleasantly surprised at how green it is in this area!! East London is certainly not the ugly concrete jungle I thought it was! The weather has been all over the place this past week, I got stuck in a total downpour of rain during one of my runs and had to stand under a tree for a while but we've had some beautiful sunshine too.
A night at the theatre
I love that going to the theatre is still such a treat in our modern-day technology-filled world. Last weekend we went with Rob's Mum to the Wyndham's Theatre on Charing Cross Road to see American Buffalo, featuring the most handsome Damian Lewis *heart eye emoji*. I loved him in Homeland and I loved him even more in real life, he is such an incredible actor. I'm not sure if I'd necessarily recommend the theatre production but it was a lovely evening none the less - a nice excuse to get dressed up!
Apologies for the lack of blog posts recently, May has been an absolute fail on the blogging front hasn't it?! Truth be told, life has just managed to get in the way recently. We're now living with Rob's Mum in East London, which has been chaotic, convenient and lovely in equal measures! Our house purchase is still sailing along slowly...{gosh, I seriously wasn't prepared for how long these things take!} fingers crossed we'll be able to exchange in not too long. I'm desperately hoping that we'll be able to move in by the Summer so that we can enjoy our garden.
So it's Fridayyyyy! And for all my teacher friends and my Mumma it's finally half term! Have you all got that 'bank holiday weekend feeling'? After a chaotic week at work I've had the laziest, most unproductive day today. I'm on night shifts as of tomorrow, but I'm hoping to get out for a run tomorrow morning and we're going to have a big roast dinner before I go to work in the evening. I'm always a bit gutted to be missing out on all the bank holiday fun but hey, extra pay and all that, and I guess it means I can save my pennies. We'll have a whole house to furnish soon!
Have a great weekend :)
