This week's happiness

Things that have made me happy this week...

Summer picnics
Ahh don't you just love packing up a picnic, taking a blanket and finding a pretty place in the countryside to sunbathe, eat and just relax?! I really love picnics! This week Rob and I went into Epping Forest, which isn't too far from his mum's where we're living now. It's really pretty, with so many places to explore - lots of little trails, always busy with cyclists, walkers and families. We managed to find a secluded spot on some open grassland and enjoyed our lunch al fresco. Thank you sunshine, you can keep coming!

L'occitane Delice de Rose
This hand cream was a naughty purchase whilst buying a birthday present for Rob's Mum a couple of weeks ago {did you know there's a rule that whenever you're buying something for someone else you've got to buy yourself a little something too?! Yeah well it's true!}. I love L'occitane, and I adore the scent of this hand cream, it's really floral and pretty. My hands get so sore from washing them so many times at work so finding a good hand cream always makes me happy.

Evening wanders...
It always makes me happy during the summer months when the days are longer and we can enjoy evening walks after dinner! This week we had a lovely walk around Connaught Lake, it was so peaceful and we spotted the cutest fluffiest little cygnets!

the last of the daffodils for this year...

Planning holidays!
I've been busy this week sorting out flights and details for our holiday in September - we're off to our family villa in Italy with some family & friends for a week of Italian food and fun! I can't wait, it'll be the first time Rob has seen the villa as I haven't visited it in a couple of years! Wanting September to hurry up now, too excited for this...

Fridayyyy! It's definitely not a 'Fri-yay' for me today as I have three nightshifts starting from tonight, but I'm looking forward to my weekend starting on Monday {typical shift work}! So needless to say, this weekend will be spent working and sleeping. Pretty uneventful I'm afraid! I'm embracing this horrible rainy weather today though and enjoying a duvet day before my nightshifts start!  I'd love to light some candles but unfortunately they're all still packed away in storage...
In other news I can't quite believe it's June on Monday already... which means we're pretty much halfway through 2015, where on earth is time going?! June is an exciting month though, it's my brother's birthday next weekend so maybe I'll pop back to my parents'. I have a few things organised with friends and it's my friend Emma's hen-do at the end of the month which will be fun! Hopefully we'll be able to get a completion day for our house soon too, it's all well and good living with Rob's Mum but we're really craving our own space now and I'm getting impatient. We were hoping to be moved in by the end of June but I'm thinking that's slightly too optimistic now but we'll see, fingers crossed!

Any requests for blogposts? Let me know!
