I've been on several shopping trips recently with the aim of finding some sensible flat shoes but on each occasion I've totally failed the task and come back home with dresses, tops and lingerie! Story of my life. It would seem that I am an absolute expert at shopping spontaneously! But, to my complete surprise last week I wandered into the UGG shop {with the intention of browsing their Summer wedges collection} and found these beauties: the UGG Chivon deck-style shoes.
I've been after some deck-style shoes for a little while, I always think they look really smart with some jeans or even some shorts when the sun is shining. They just have that classic look about them! I was immediately drawn to these when I saw them on the shelf.
I often have trouble finding shoes as I'm frustratingly somewhere in the middle between a UK size 6 and 7 and most retailers don't seem to do half sizes. I've also got quite wide feet {and big ugly toes, ugggh don't you just hate feet?!} and many shoes I try on instantly make my feet feel totally crammed in and uncomfortable. But these, being UGG, are super comfy. They're fairly wide in shape which is perfect for me. They have maximised cushioning and thick soles with leather lining and they even have some sheepskin on the heels for extra comfort. Do I sound like an old woman yet?! Bus pass please!
I always have my Mother's voice in my head whilst shoe shopping but her words are so true, "if you buy the slightly more expensive shoes you'll always get what you pay for". These were £65, but I've learnt my lesson after numerous pairs of cheap, uncomfortable shoes from Primarni... so it was a price I was more than happy to pay.
I can see myself getting lots of wear out of these <3
