The Halls are Decked!

You may remember my post from last Christmas where I shared a few photos of our little flat all decorated for the festive season... Well looking back on the blog has made me feel a little bit sentimental. My final words in that post were: "maybe next year we'll have a house to decorate! Now there's an exciting thought!" and here I am, just 12 months later, sat on the sofa in our very own home. I feel incredibly lucky that our dreams came true this year and we were able to finally become homeowners, it's something that many people my age can only dream of so I'm making a conscious effort to remind myself often of how fortunate we are.

Anyway - I thought I'd do the same as last year and share some photos of our home adorned with Christmas decorations. I'm so excited about our first Christmas here and even though we aren't celebrating Christmas Day at our house, it's nice to enjoy some festive sparkle and decorations at home whilst counting down the days...

I posted last week about putting our Christmas tree up but here it is again in all it's glory! I still love arriving home every day to it's sparkle. I wish we could have Christmas trees up all year round but then it wouldn't be so magical would it?!

Star shaped candle holders, tea lights and a big silver reindeer {thank you TK Maxx!}.
Oh, and my favourite Christmas scented Yankee.

This was a handmade Christmas card given to me last year by my talented sister Dom who makes all her own cards. I love it so much I've kept it and have displayed it again this year! You can browse lots of her crafty creations here.

The cutest little dove on the tree...

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some bunting of course...

A pretty Christmas wreath adorned with fur, pine cones and red berries.
{I bought this a while ago from TK Maxx for our front door but I haven't put it outside as we don't have an overhang over our door so it would just get wet! So it's in the living room instead}

This little chap has made an appearance again...

And of course our collection of Christmas films is on the shelf. What's your favourite?!

I've got to admit I'm loving our house at this time of year, it's so cosy {minus the ugly puppy crate!}

14 more sleeps!!
