This Week's Happiness

Things that have made me happy this week...

Raspberries
I've eaten far too many raspberries this week. Sorry not sorry! Love these beautiful little berries.

Quirky pubs, live music, coffee & catch ups
Rob and I drove over to East London on Sunday to visit his mum. Considering how close she lives we hardly see each other... we should make more effort really but life tends to get in the way for all of us and before we know it, weeks have passed! Anyway, she cooked us a delicious roast lamb dinner which was the perfect way to end a lovely weekend. After dinner we went for a coffee date at The Red Lion in Leytonstone. If you're an East Londoner you should take a visit. I'd never been before but it's a real gem, one of those cute quirky little east London pubs with bookshelves, sofas, candles and a truely friendly atmosphere. There were live musicians playing and we spent ages sipping hot chocolate coffee and chatting, sat around a cute little table in the corner. Nights like these make me appreciate how lucky we are to have such wonderful family.

Ski Gear
My ski jacket arrived in the post... eeeek! As I mentioned in last week's Friday post, I've booked my first skiing lesson for next month. I'm not sure if I'm more nervous or excited! But I thought I'd get myself prepared and order some skiing gear. I got this super sexy bright green number from TK Maxx. It was a bit of a bargain, gotta love a bargain. Love it!!

Happy Friday, folks! I feel like I've just had the most uneventful week... I haven't done much aside from working and sleeping! Oh, although I did catch up on Broadchurch... is anyone else totally hooked?! I hate the fact that they leave it a whole week inbetween each episode, I feel like I'm going mad, I desperately want to know WHO DUNNIT?!! Bring on next Monday. {My bets are on Claire being the guilty one}.

On Wednesday evening I had the most amazing baking lesson at Bread Ahead Bakery as part of my Christmas present, which I shall blog about over the weekend. I can't wait to share some photos and tell you all about it, it was such a great evening!

I'm at work today and don't usually get home until gone 9pm so tonight I'll be enjoying a hot candlelit bath, some dinner and crashing out on the sofa. Rock n roll! On Saturday we're viewing a house in the morning and then I think we're seeing some friends for lunch and then one of my best friends in the evening. Saturday looks to be pretty busy actually, so Sunday I plan on doing absolutely nothing! Maybe I'll get out for a run if the sun comes out but I could definitely do with a duvet day. I'm not at all ashamed to admit that I'm counting down the days until some well earned annual leave in February...!

Enjoy your weekend, whatever your plans!
